The Fame of Christ

Luke 4:37
“And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.”

Miracles, signs, and wonders don’t need the “smoke and lights.” We don’t need to “draw the crowd” with our fancy videos or big dinners; not that these are inherently “wrong,” but… they are wrong if those are our driving forces with intention to evangelize the world. In fact, if you want the truth, they have become our handicap in modern days of the church as we have allowed that to be our crutch in ministry. If we get back to what the New Testament church was doing, we’d see the “fame of Jesus” spread throughout all our land!

Hollywood makes videos, concert arenas & promotional companies have stages with lights and smoke… what they DON’T have, is the power of the one true God living inside!

The New Testament church had no website, no mobile app, no fancy degrees or titles (most of whom referred to themselves as servants or slaves), they had no gimmicks… They only had God… and that was all they needed. Fires 🔥 need no advertisements. When a people find deliverance, healing, restored marriages, relationships that were broken… They will promote.

Mark 1:45 “But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.”

“These signs shall follow them that believe…” Mark 16:17. Now that’s a broad statement. Listen: Not just the ‘apostles’ of the New Testament, not just for those who land in a timeline before the canonization of the scriptures, but “THEM THAT BELIEVE!” Hallelujah 🙌🏻 Do you believe?!

Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

I implore all ministers to get back to the foundation of true evangelism: Holy Spirit stirred, bold, untainted, non-hypocritical, filled with brokenness and a heart-cry, anointed preaching… (not “life-coach” speeches) This is a weak attempt of conversions using persuasion… The Bible says:

1 Corinthians 1:21 “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of PREACHING to SAVE them that believe.”

It’s time for the church to bring back the dignity and honor to our God in our ministries’ evangelistic efforts by aligning with what God says, …than what man thinks.

It’s time to pray for actual revival… Not concerts.
