Sin Opens Closed Doors

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” – Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭

Temptation in itself is not sin, for even Christ was tempted yet the scriptures record that He was without sin. However, Jesus was not continually tempted by the same temptation as many people are because He took authority against it, resisted it, rebuked it, and overcame it.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” – James‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭

We can do the same because the same authority that Christ had, He has given us through His blood and Spirit and the power of the adoption that it afford us, which is grace, the authority of sonship!

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; …” – Romans‬ ‭8:16-17‬ ‭

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” – Romans‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭

If you are a blood bought, born again, Holy Ghost filled child of God then you not only have the authority to kick sin of your life, you have the authority to also chase away the temptation and not allow it to linger at the door of your heart!

Temptation is sin at the door! Think of it as a devil knocking on the door of your heart offering an unholy council. You do not have to open that door! You can tell it to go away and it must obey! This is where “resisting” the devil comes into play.

If you choose to open that door and let it in you have given place to the devil and sin has entered your heart. When you receive the devil’s council you have opened the door and let him in. When you act upon that council you are in open sin and have chosen to give the devil place on the thrown of your heart.

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” – Romans‬ ‭6:16‬ ‭

This is all by your own choice because Jesus suffered and died to grant you the power to say, “no, get ye behind me Satan. You are under my feet. I Am above and you are beneath, I’m not trading places with you. You are a defeated foe! You have to go, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, my King!” Rebuke him, cast him out.

In the same manner we see in scripture that Jesus stands at the door of our heart and knocks also. Yet still, you have to choose to let Him in, to give Him the thrown of your heart, to listen to His Holy council, and to obey it unto righteousness. It’s your choice, it’s all your choice, you have the power to make it. You have been given dominion over your own heart, it is your choice what you give access to it. Even Jesus won’t force His way in, you have to choose to open that door and let Him in. It is the same with sin. It has no dominion over you, the devil only has the authority that you give him. Start believing that and stop giving him dominions that he has already lost. Your victory has already been won, believe it, live it, and by that faith you will overcome.

“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (the power and  authority of sonship)” – Romans‬ ‭6:12-14‬ ‭

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” – Revelation‬ ‭3:20-22‬ ‭

The Hands of Christ

“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” – 1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:27‬ ‭

We’ve all heard the phrase, “we are the hands and feet” of Christ. This phrase is an indirect quote that summarizes chapter 12 of the book of 1 Corinthians. The chapter as a whole explains that though Christ’s Spirit still remains, His physical body is no longer in this world. Therefor, until He physically returns on that fateful day, we are to allow our physical bodies to be used by His Holy Spirit to continue His work and ministry in His stead.

This is why the chapter begins with Paul identifying the spiritual gifts that Christ functioned in and explains that those who have His Spirit will allow themselves to be used as His body continuing His physical work by continuing to function in these gifts, as He did that the overcoming power of the Kingdom of God against the works of the kingdom of Satan would continue to be demonstrated in the earth to the freeing of souls from it’s lies, bondages, and limitations. This is why, “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!” It is the power to set at liberty those that had been captive! Liberty from fear, from sin, from sickness, from demonic oppression, from torment, from all the works of the devil, because it is authority!

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” – 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭

This is the truest since of what it means to be the hands of Christ! Demonstrating the authority of the Kingdom! Through out the New Testament when the command was given to “lay hands” on someone, the Authority of the Kingdom of God was about to be demonstrated in the Name of Jesus! The sick were healed, the oppressed delivered and set free, demons cast out, the dead raised, the lame made whole, the Spirit of God was given, gifts were stirred up, callings manifested! The power of Christ’s authority became alive causing people to have faith in the grace (or power) that had been made available to all through Jesus Christ!

“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant… But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to EVERY MAN to profit WITHAL.” – 1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:1, 7‬

Here’s the exciting news! Nothing has changed! It still works the same today! Only our faith in it has changed so that you see only the rare few who dare to read the bible for themselves and belief it actually walk in the truth and power of it! A lot of people talk the talk but only the few who know who their God is and truly believe actually walk the walk in freedom bringing, hell overcoming, demon stomping, territory taking, life changing, faith stirring, miracle working power and authority!

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” – Mark‬ ‭16:17-18‬ ‭

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” – Daniel‬ ‭11:32‬ ‭

Until Christ returns, we have been given the commission to continue His ministry in every aspect that He preformed it, functioning as His body led by His Spirit moving in His gifts by the power of His grace that He made available to us by His sacrifice. Upon His return, we will all have to face Him and give an account of what we did, or didn’t do with this great gift and commission that He suffered so much to give us. I for one would like to hear those words, “well done, My good and faithful servant. Inter into rest.” Yet I fear for the many who will hear, as the unfruitful servant who buried his talent did in Matthew‬ ‭25:30‬, “cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Note that this was a servant of God, a believer in God, yet he did not make it in because He did not bare fruit for the kingdom. He hid and wasted that which Christ had given all to give to him. Yes, he called Him Lord, yes he believed in Him, but he did not do His will, he trusted in his own ability and buried the gift that God had given him, that had he used, would have allowed him to do greater things then he could have ever done on his own. God would have multiplied and compounded the return of souls for the kingdom like interest on money in the bank if he had just used the gift that he had been given access to. Don’t let other people’s fear and unbelief rob you of your faith unto the hiding of your talents. Let your faith rob other people of their fear and unbelief by the digging up and using of your talents.

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: …;” – 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:6-8‬ ‭

The gifts are given as tools for the harvest, to continue His work and demonstrate the reality of the authority granted by the victory over Satan that was won for us at Calvary. If you truly believe that Christ overcame His enemy and put Satan under our feet then these signs will follow you because you will walk in victory and authority speaking, doing, and living the power of this good news! If you will only believe, then you will give His Spirit, your body, to do His will. Then will you truly be His hands and feet, then will His gifts and talents be used to the harvesting of souls with interest! Then will signs, wonders, and miracles follow you, because you have believed, truly believed.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” – Romans‬ ‭8:14‬ ‭

Live Like You Believe

18a2“The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.”‭ – Psalms 93:1-5‬

The Church is more to blame for the condition of the world, than the world is to blame for the condition of the Church!!!
If “GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN ME, THAN he that is in the world”, than why don’t we live like it??!

We have allowed the “spirit of error”, unbelief, and the sin-filled world to infiltrate the churches, thereby relinquishing our GOD given authority against it! Today, I’m provoked!! Today, I say, “ENOUGH!!!” Today, I choose to take up the authority and power of GOD within me and do something about it! It’s HIGH TIME that the Church fixes their gaze on their HOLY GOD, and begin to live like HE IS IN US!

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men‭‭;” – 1 Timothy‬ ‭2:1‬‬

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”‭‭ – Titus‬ ‭2:11-15‬‬

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”‭‭ – 1 Timothy‬ ‭4:1-2‬‬

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:”‭‭ – 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7-10‬‬

We have not received a spirit of fear, but we have received a SPIRIT of POWER, LOVE, and of a SOUND MIND! HE is the HOLY SPIRIT OF TRUTH! HE IS THE POWER BACKING UP THE WORD OF TRUTH, THE WHOLE COUNCIL OF GOD!
So, receive the WORD, believe the WORD, and live the WORD in the POWER AND OPERATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WITHIN US! Then we will be transformed into the HOLY BODY we are called to be, operating in unity by the HOLY COMMANDS coming from JESUS CHRIST, who is the HEAD of the Church unto those who seek His face, hear His voice, and are led by His Spirit. Then will OUR HOLY GOD WILL BE GLORIFIED AGAIN, AND MANIFEST HIS GLORY!

“Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.‭” – Ephesians 1:15-23‬

Is Anything Too Hard For God?

“The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high. The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.” – Habakkuk‬ ‭3:10-11‬ ‭

Mountains tremble before Him, floods obey Him, the sun, moon, and stars stand still for Him, the very universe is the works of His hands, nothing that is would be without Him making it so, is anything too hard for God?

The heavens are silent in anticipation of His words, the dust of the earth comes alive at His breath, the seas part at His unrest, is anything too hard for God?

The sick are healed by His mere thought, at His command the dead are raised, the possessed and oppressed are set free with no battle fought at the mention of His Name, is anything too hard for God

Creation groans, the unknowable made known, the lost were called home, and the ages sewn when He rose to His thrown.

Time was divided, hell’s fate was decided, sin was requited, and love reignited. It’s time to get excited that nothing is too hard for God!

He is smarter, wiser, stronger, more fierce, and more faithful. Whatever you’re facing, our God is able. Believe that He is that which He is and nothing will shake you knowing that He won’t forsake you. And if He be with you, what can overtake you? He’ll make you to breakthrough, He will prepare you a table in the presence of your enemies.

Kingdoms fall before those who believe, if only more had ears to hear and eyes to see the great and mighty things that happen on your knees they would be more eager to run to the King, if they truly believed that nothing is too hard for God.

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” – Jeremiah‬ ‭32:27‬ ‭

Soldier-Like Faith

img_5282“Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue. Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.‭‭” – Luke‬ ‭7:1-10‬‬

Taking a close look at this story: a centurion’s servant was sick and ready to die. The centurion loved his servant and when he heard of Jesus…

• (He was told Who JESUS was) Today, we have the privilege of hearing JESUS Himself! Knowing JESUS ourselves! But this man only heard about Him.

The centurion sent the elders to JESUS beseeching Him to come and heal his servant. The elders come beseeching Jesus and saying that this centurion was worthy of his request saying, “he built us a Synagogue and loves our nation”. (Sounds similar to the things you hear from many preachers today: He’s a tither, He built our church!)

JESUS goes with them, but before HE gets there, the centurion sent his friends to meet JESUS with a message:
Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.”

These things moved JESUS:
1. He was moved by love.
2. He was humble.
3. He understood authority.
4. He recognized Jesus’s authority and submitted himself unto it.

This next verse has caught my attention the most where it says: JESUS marveled at him. Then turns to the crowd following Him and says, “I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”

Today the church (as a whole it seems) is more moved and motivated by things than by love for people and love for God. It’s sad to say but we have drifted so far away from BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY that it has become repulsive to a HOLY GOD! As the world looks on at the church and sees the carnality of selfishness and pride, I believe GOD is looking for anyone who will TRULY BELIEVE HIM!

Today I’m humbled, today I’m seeking to be moved with compassion enough to come to JESUS humbly asking for others to be made whole, and to listen to HIS VOICE, understand HIS AUTHORITY, and SUBMIT TO HIM knowing that HE WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO, AND WHEN HE GIVES COMMAND ALL CREATION MUST OBEY!

“Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.‭‭” – 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:1-4‬‬

Fight for Faith!

“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” – Jude‬ ‭1:3

We’ve all looked at the story of the Israelites in the wilderness constantly loosing faith and thought, “how can they so easily forget what wondrous things the Lord has done?” However, if we step back and take an honest look at our own life we will see that many times, we have done the same. God has moved in miraculous ways, we have seen His invisible hand at work, we have experienced His faithfulness and had our faith built up. Then a trial comes, a hardship, a wilderness seaon, a testing of faith, and we get so caught up in the hurt of the here and now that we forget all that He has already proven Himself capable of, and our faith dwindles away. This is why Paul warned us to earnestly fight for the faith that was once given us, that we might have faith for the fight that is ahead of us! David did this by “encouraging himself in the Lord“, by reminding himself of all the wonderful works of the Lord and of His great faithfulness to him thus far.

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” – 1 Samuel‬ ‭30:6‬ ‭

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” – Psalms‬ ‭118:17‬ ‭

In essence, David stirred up his faith (and thus the gifts that were within him that are the manifestation of that faith) by “speaking to the mountain” of trials that laid before him and to his own soul (doubt) in the process!

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:6-7‬ ‭

In order to fight for the faith, you must first stir up faith for the fight! How do you do this? By speaking! Out loud! Because you see, the bible says that faith comes by hearing, therefor what you speak is not only faith manifested, but you are hearing what you are speaking therefor it is also returning into your own soul and encouraging it as David did, and building your faith further that it (being stirred up) comes out again amplified and the cycle continues, building your faith and tearing down the devil’s lies!

So when you face that mountain of doubt, find you a place to get alone and speak to that mountain out loud! Cast it out, lift up praise and thanks to God, remind yourself of who He is and who you are in Him, take authority against the wilds of the devil, rebuke him and his lies, glorify God, stir up your faith and see everything change as that mountain gets out of the way and you’re able to press forward once agin!

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭

Sometimes you just have to stop telling God how big the mountain is and start telling the mountain how big your God is. He has given you the authority, He has given you the instruction, He has given you the power, because He has given you His Spirit. Now use it.

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” – Romans‬ ‭8:11-14‬ ‭

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” – Mark‬ ‭11:22-23‬ ‭

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” – Luke‬ ‭1:37‬ ‭

A Perfectly Prophetic Portrait Of God’s Grace

David the shepherd boy who would be the unlikely King that no one expected was an archetype (or foreshadowing) of Christ. Likewise, Saul who did all that was in his own power to resist the will of God concerning David’s kingship and set forth to kill David, was an archetype of Satan. Knowing this parallel, there is something that David did as soon as he was made King that I find very interesting and prophetic.

Saul and most of his family had been killed, defeated, or cast out by the very hand of God, while David, by the same hand of God, had been made King. Yet one of the first acts as King preformed by David was to search out Saul’s lineage, not for damnation, but instead to the surprise of all for restoration. David finds Saul’s grandson, Mephibosheth, who was lame in his feet and calls him to come unto him.

In this I am reminded of how Jesus told sinners that they were “of their father the devil”. David being an archetype of Christ and Saul being an archetype for Satan, Mephibosheth being a grandson of Saul was a type of sinner at least (or possibly even a type of gentile being of the other family). Mephibosheth recognizes David’s kingship and humbles himself before it, he answers David’s call and falls on his face before his majesty. He inters David’s courts with reverence and offers to be his humble servant. In this we see the way we ought to inter the courts of our Lord and King. In worship, in prayer, in repentance, or in petition, we ought to recognize, reverence, and fear the King. For this alone proves that we truly believe in His Kingship.

At this point, the most remarkable thing happens. David (the type of Christ), does not kill, judge, punish, or cast Mephibosheth out. Instead he shows his great mercy and one of the greatest example of grace outside of Christ Himself ever portrayed in Scripture. All that Saul had obtain, was given into David’s hands. His land, territory, servants, possessions, power, dominion, and authority, all of it was now David’s, and more. So what does David do? He pardons Mephibosheth and gives him dominion and authority over all that was once Saul’s, his grandfather. Now remember that scripture tells us that Satan was the ruler of this world. The territory, authority, and dominion was his. Yet Christ came and took the keys of the kingdom and was given all power, authority, and dominion. As soon as Christ assumed this Throne of thrones, He did what no one expected. He did what David did! He began to call the Devils own children, the sinner, the gentile, the lame, those who had tried to kill Him and prevent and mocked His kingship! He allowed them to now choose to recognize His Kingship and serve Him. He then, once having done so, He took the territory, authority, power, and dominion that had been taken from their father the devil, and gave it to them having adopted them into His own family and house hold!

David did all of this for Mephibosheth as a foreshadowing of what Christ would one day do for us! David actually took Mephibosheth into his own house hold and family having told him that he would always have a place at his table and could come partake of his bread at any time. In doing so, he offered his communion to Mephibosheth. Free access to come and sup and commune with the King at will. In other words, he became family.

Furthermore, David had one more grace to bestow on the undeserving Mephibosheth. He took servants from his own courts (an archetype for angels) and caused them to be put in subjection to the now redeemed Mephibosheth. He explained that Mephibosheth now had a place at his table partaking of his bread as one of his own sons and they were to serve under him, taking charge over him, caring for him and tending to both his needs and the lands and flocks that he had just been given. What an amazing picture of what Christ has truly done for us! Of how we should inter the courts of the King, with trembling reverence and humility. Yet most of all, what a perfectly painted portrait of the grace that is poured out on us from the Throne of Jesus Christ our King in who’s hands all authority, dominion, power, and might has been given. To then give back to the once son’s and daughters of his enemy unmerited, undeserved, favor, power, influence, authority, and dominion, and a place at his own table forever. That’s my king.

“Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant! And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually. And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am? Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master’s son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house. Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master’s son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master’s son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants. Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king’s sons.” – 2 Samuel‬ ‭9:6-11‬ ‭

Backed By A Greater Power

“One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the Lord your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.” – Joshua‬ ‭23:10‬ ‭

I was asked recently to explain the anointing and a visual came to mind. I said, imagine that a prison guard stands in a dorm of 50 inmates and tells them to go to their bunks and nothing happens. Now imagine the exact same scenario only this time there is a swat team standing behind the guard ready to enforce those words. Being backed up by this greater power, the guard says, “go to your bunk” and now something happens. They will move voluntarily because of the greater power standing behind those words, or they will be moved involuntarily by that same power. The guard used the same words and took the same actions, but when there was no power greater then their own backing those words and action it had no effect. However, when those words and actions were backed by a greater power, then breakthrough came. This is why it is the anointing that breaks the yoke and not merely words, rituals, or routines.

“For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.” – 1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:20‬ ‭

The anointing comes by way of obedience which is the evidence of true faith. It comes by way of seeking the Lord and leaning not on your own understanding which is the evidence of true faith. It comes by way of prayer and fasting which is the evidence of true faith. It comes by way of selflessness and humility which is the evidence of true faith. In other words, it comes by way of Faith. Faith in who and what God is, and also in what He says.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is (God), and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭

If you believe that He is God, that He is all knowing, then seek Him and listen. If you believe that He is unmatchable, that nothing is too hard for Him, that nothing is impossible for Him, then stand up in prayer and obedience and take the land! If you believe that the same power that raised Christ from the dead (which is the power of the Holy Spirit of God – aka grace) lives on the inside of you, then step out and share it with someone. For what you have freely been given, you are commanded to freely give. Believe not only in what He is, but also in what He tells you, and act upon it and the enemy will tremble and flee, knowing the greater power that backs up your words and actions.

“One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the Lord your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.” – Joshua‬ ‭23:10‬ ‭

The Power Of A Peculiar Priesthood

jesus-on-the-cross“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” – 1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭

In the times before Christ, God had set up a priesthood. There were priests who were given jobs, task, and authority to do God’s work, to have access to His Word, to minister to the people, to pray and commune with God, to cleans that which was unclean, and so forth. Then above the priest there was a high priest. The high priest was the only one who, on the day of atonement, could take the blood of the sacrifice into the Holy of Holy’s (an archetype for heaven) and bring it to the mercy seat (a model of God’s thrown) to make atonement for the sins of the people.

Now all of this was done as a sort of prophetic play enacting what actually needed to be done to bring true atonement but could not be done because the real mercy seat (or thrown of God) is in heaven and no sin can inter heaven. Therefor, no man or priest was ever able to bring the blood of a worthy sacrifice to the true mercy seat, to enact a real and lasting atonement. Until Jesus, that is, the first man in the history of man, since the fall of man to die without sin. (1 Peter 2:22, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 John 3:5)

Therefore, Jesus became not only our pure and spotless sacrifice for sin, but He also became our everlasting high priest, taking the blood of His own sacrifice into heaven and into the thrown of God where He has made atonement for the people once and for all. But it doesn’t stop there! Now that the temple of our bodies has been truly cleansed by the blood of Jesus and made Holy by this act of atonement, He then, (as He promised) ask the Father to send us His Holy Spirit to dwell within us! So that now, by receiving His Holy Spirit we are made joint heirs with Christ and children of God! Where before the authority of God rested upon the priest and kings, now as join heirs with Christ we all walk in the authority, power, dominion, and commission of the priest and kings to commune with God, walk in holiness, minister His words to others, heal the sick, cast out Devils, and take the land!

“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” – Revelation‬ ‭5:9-10‬ ‭

Jesus did a pure and perfect work as our high priest that we might in turn be empowered to do pure and perfect works as priest of God in this earth. Do not trample underfoot the blood of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and deem it an unholy thing by denying the overcoming power of it against the enemy in all his forms and vises (Hebrews 10:29). Jesus’s victory was complete and without fail! There is nothing He can not deliver you from, nothing His blood can not remove, and nothing His Spirit cannot overcome! He sees all, knows all, and can deliver from all, if you will just believe. Do you believe? Do you really believe? Believe.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” – Hebrews‬ ‭4:12-16‬ ‭
