“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” – 1 John 4:18
Fear is being tormented by the enemy. When we are living in fear we are not walking in perfect love. We are walking in fear and we are being defeated by the enemy.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7
When we walk in fear, we are allowing the enemy to strip us of a sound mind. Fear will cause you to be afraid of everything around you. Fear is walking in torment of what man will do. A lot of our problems are that we fear what man can do to us, and not God.
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” – Matthew 10:28
Stop trusting in man and start trusting God. Stop fearing man and start fearing God.
“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” – Psalms 118:6
“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” – Psalms 118:8
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” – Proverbs 9:10
We look around and we see the evilness of man getting worse and worse, but known this, that our God is bigger than them all. He is faithful and He is always there for us. We can trust Him no matter what comes our way.
“But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:3
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” – Psalms 23: 1-6
We do not have to walk in fear. God has given us the authority to overcome fear through Jesus. Stand up and use your authority, take back your sound mind, God has given us peace of mind over all fear.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” – James 4:7
“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” – Numbers 6:24-26
