Have you ever lost someone close to you that you talked with every day that was dear to you? And you long just to feel their presence again, hear their voice, or just to see or touch them again. Parents who lost their children would die, give their own lives for their child to live again or just to see their children again.
Well that’s how God feels about us, He loves us so much that He sent His son to die for us, so that He would be able to hear from us again. Yet the devil tells us lies that we are not worthy, that we’ve done too much wrong and God doesn’t love us. We sometimes even choose lust over His perfect love as we run away from Him. We spend all our time doing everything except spending time with Him, looking for attention from others because we want to feel loved, but He longs for us, to love on us. His heart breaks for us, He wants to keep us safe at home where He can protect us from satans plans and afflictions.
However we do have free will and when we willfully disobey Him and run away from God, bad things can happen to us because the absence of God does allow evil. So when you let the devil in He’s going to do what He wants to do and He will even talk you into fulfilling His plan for you trying to convince you that it is good.
John 10:10 says “he only comes to kill, steal, and destroy but I (Jesus) have come so that you MIGHT have life and have it more abundantly” (abundantly means over sufficient). He will give you more than you will ever need. But there’s a condition, He said that you MIGHT have life so that means IF you CHOOSE to follow Him! It’s your choice of which path you will follow.
You see God WANTS us to be with Him for eternity. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “it is NOT His will that any shall perish but that all should come to repentance!” REPENT and get right with God! 1John 1:9 says, “IF we confess our sins He is just and faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness!” He is waiting, yearning, and longing for you to come home and stay! Just like a mother or Father that has lost a child would be overwhelmed with joy to hold their child again, God’s heart will be filled with joy to spend time with you again and love on you again. It doesn’t matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, He’s waiting with arms wide open to take you back in but it’s YOUR choice. YOU have to CHOOSE to go home. It’s time to make a decision today!
“(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” – 2 Corinthians 6:2
