Many ministers today preach a false gospel of prosperity without persecution, blessings without brokenness, revival without repentance, and Pentecost without perseverance. Many flock to these ministers to worship their god of flatteries never knowing that this god they speak of is not the God of the bible. The God of the bible is the truth, the way, and the life, and few are they that find Him, because few love truth.
“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
“Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. The full (full of themselves) soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry (hungry for the truth) soul every bitter thing is sweet.” – Proverbs 27:5-7
God is not a genie meant to grant your wishes. In fact the term “genie” was the plural form of an ancient middle eastern name for the satanic fallen angels that give men whatever their flesh desires to the ends of damning their souls to hell.
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” – 2 Corinthians 11:13-15
In Matthew chapters 5-7 we read Jesus’s sermon on the mount. God became flesh (1 John 1) and preached us a sermon that we can still read today. What a treasure, have you read it? Does it line up with what your pastor is preaching to you? Does it line up with the God you serve? Understand this, God is less concerned with making you happy then He is with making you holy. To truly serve God does not please or apiece your flesh, it crucifies it. For those who have fallen for this satanic deception I implore you for the sake of your soul, lay down this self centered counterfeit for Christianity that expects God to serve you, pick up your cross, get on your knees, and start asking God how you can serve Him.
“But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” – Matthew 16:23-26
If it pricks your pride and hurts your flesh to read any of this, then it’s because it has not yet been crucified with Christ. Dead flesh doesn’t hurt. If it reacts it’s because it’s still alive. Kill it.
“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” – Galatians 5:24-25
“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:” – Colossians 3:5-6
“And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” – Hebrews 12:5-14
