Does God Commend You?

It’s our job as Christians to seek the Lord in all things: in relationships, in work, in leisure, in ministry, and in life. We are to obey what He tells us no matter what it looks like or feels like. What God tells us to do will almost never feel good to our flesh or seem logical to our carnal mind, but it will always be beneficial to our spirit and to the Kingdom of God.

You don’t have to always understand what God is doing, you just have to understand the one doing it. He does nothing without wisdom and reason and He truly does know best. If He wants to remove something from your life, it is because He knows it will do harm later no matter how safe it looks right now, let it go. If He is trying to ad something to your life, it’s because He knows you will need it later, no matter how inconvenient it seems right now, let it in. If He is trying to move you it’s because He has set a stage for you and is trying to walk you onto it, go! If He is telling you to be still it is because before He can set the stage He first has to clear it or else you’ll either be entangled with the wrong cast or rush onto an unequipped stage. Wait and let Him do His perfect work, with His perfect wisdom, in His perfect timing. God is all about the timing. The hiding and the revealing. The waiting and the sending. The pressing and the pulling.

Many make mistakes that cost them so very much in both this life and the next because they trust in their own flesh, logic, desires, or emotions. Our Spiritual God will nearly always contradict those carnal things with His words and instructions, so seek Him first, for His thoughts and ways are so much higher than ours.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” – Isaiah‬ ‭55:8-11‬ ‭

No matter what it looks like, sounds like, or feels like, trust God’s wisdom above your own, trust His words above what you see, and trust His instructions above your logic, and obey. God will always back up His words with power. Therefor, it’s not the man who trust in, glories in, boast in, justifies, or commends himself, his thoughts, his talents, his skills, understanding, feelings, desires, ambitions, possessions, plans, or logic that is approved of God. Rather it is he who humbles himself, seeks the Lord in all things, makes no assumptions and takes no actions in and of himself, but trust in the Wisdom, Words, and Will of God whom God Himself will not only approve of, but will prove His approval by commending him with favor, power, and the anointing that breaks the yoke.

You see, when we trust in our own wisdom we have to back up our words, actions, and decisions with our own carnal power and more words. But when we trust in God’s wisdom, He backs up His words and the actions we take in obedience to them with His divine power and the miraculous. Therefor, signs, wonders, and miracles, WILL follow those that believe. The question is, do you really believe, and is that belief in God or in yourself?
