From the moment we are born the sand never stops falling. Our Time is short. It’s all I can think about when I go through photo albums from only a few months ago, then a year, then 5 years, then 10, and so on. It all feels like it was one day ago!
Time rushes on like a waterfall crashing over the side of a cliff, you can’t count the seconds, it goes in big groupings of moments all pieced together. They all afford lessons, but they go by so fast you can’t keep up.
It’s what we all share in common, time is no more slow going for one than it is for another, whether you have a disease or you are as healthy as you’ve ever been, your time is equally as short and quick passing as the man next to you. All of us. Black, white, big, little, young, old, all our time has one thing in common: it’s short and it is borrowed, every moment is one moment closer to the last. Please get right with God! Your time will discover deep purpose when you find Jesus, you will no longer have to fear or dread the ending of your time, for the last grain of sand to fall, because you will know your soul is right with your creator.
He already knows the moment you will call on His name, that He will from the very moment embrace you with hope and His spirit will dwell within you, you’ll never face a moment alone and no moment will ever be empty, you will have nothing to fear or dread because He will walk beside you, go before you and literally surround you on every side. When the thief on the cross said “Remember me Lord when You go to Your kingdom”, Jesus told him something amazing, Hsaid “today you’ll be with Me in paradise”. This statement has been on my heart for a long time, I realized the most beautiful part of it was that the very moment the thief called upon Him, he was at his lowest place ever, he was going to die and pay for his crimes, he probably didn’t expect Jesus to share such a promise with him, but he called to Him, BUT he called to Him and Jesus in that very moment gave him the gift of eternal life, forgiveness and comfort!!
You don’t need to fix yourself before you come to God, He will fix you by His power, one moment at a time He will prepare you and equip you and make you ready, and all you need to do before your sand runs out is call upon Him for mercy!
All of our time is steady passing, please seek God now, your last grain of sand could fall within the hour, so could mine. It’s not worth it to wait any longer. He’s coming back and our time is so so so short. Time IS rushing over the edge of those rocks, in that waterfall of moments, your just trying to make them matter in vain if you don’t get right with the Lord!! They will be for nothing… And the door will be shut. Shut!
He gave you time but you ignored every warning you were given. It wasn’t people, it wasn’t your annoying Christian friends you called holy rollers, it was him, it was God warning you through people, “look to Me and live!”
Please seek him before your sand runs out. Remember again the thief on the cross, in the very moment he made his petition, Jesus promised him eternal life. One moment. Had he given up that opportunity, he would have gone to hell. Don’t pass up your chances to cry out to Jesus. In the very moment you call on him, repent and seek his face, the promise will be yours, as the thief, in one moment everything changed for him eternally. Do as he did, cry out to God in this moment, you may not be a thief on a cross but you are as in danger of hell as he was if you don’t seek his face. But when you call out to him, that moment will change everything and your soul will be safe and you too, will be with him in paradise. The alternative is terrifying. Please don’t let the enemy gain one more soul that kept putting off the entire purpose of life, and his sand ran out, and the door was shut (time will be up. No more sand to fall.)
“And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him , saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS . And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” – Luke 23:33-43
