The Tale of Two Sinners

Type = ArtScans RGB : Gamma = 1.882“The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning. The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned! For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim. Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it. Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation. Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time? Turn thou us unto thee, O Lord, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.” ‭ – Lamentations‬ ‭5:15-22

The Tale of Two Sinners: Read the following verses and carefully observe and consider which one are you?

“And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” – ‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:32-43‬

There are only two kinds of sinners:

Sinner #1- who in their pride just wants to have eternal life without ever acknowledging and confessing their offense to God, with no understanding of God’s justice in punishing the sinner for their sin, with no remorse for their sins and no repentant heart to rid their heart from sin… they live and die in sin.

Sinner #2 – who comes to the cross and becomes painful aware of their sins being of great offense to God; is grieved over their sin and the death of Jesus Christ the Holy Son of God Who came to TAKE AWAY our sins and give us forgiveness and eternal life, GREIVED TO THE POIT OF DESIRING TO DIE, TO PUT TO DEATH THE DEEDS OF THE FLESH SO AS TO NOT OFFEND GOD ANY LONGER. They confess their sins and acknowledge God’s justice in punishing sinners for their sins. They glorify God for sending HIS SON JESUS CHRIST to TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS and grant them eternal life and they become a NEW CREATION IN CHRIST JESUS when the old man (sinful flesh) dies with Christ and is Born AGAIN IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD and made FREE FROM SIN AND DEATH BY THE LIFE GIVING BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

Sinner #1 – receives NO forgiveness, NO life, NOTHING Jesus came to give us! They continue in sin until they die and their end is ETERNAL DAMNATION IN HELL.

Sinner #2- dies with Jesus Christ and is made a NEW CREATION that hates sin the same way God does and loves and serves Him from that day on just like Jesus does! This sinner then  becomes a saint, a child of God granted all the inheritance of Jesus Christ where they will forever live with Him in Glory and continue to LOVE AND SERVE HIM FOR ALL ETERNITY!
