“For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” – 3 John 1:3-4
Are Satan’s lies robbing you of the miracle working power of God’s truths? In John 14:6 Jesus tells us that He is “the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one can go to God but by Him“. There is a strong delusion sweeping today’s believers that has robbed many of their overcoming miracle working power and even of their salvation. It has in affect, caused many believers to become nonbelievers without even realizing it.
John chapter 1 tells us in no uncertainty that the “Word is God” and that “Jesus was the Word made flesh“. Therefore, if we do not truly believe in the Word of God then we do not truly believe in Jesus.
“And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” – Acts 16:30-31
Remember that we are saved by grace (which also empowers us to overcome) through faith. Therefore, if we don’t truly believe then we can’t have real faith and if we don’t have real faith we can’t receive true grace, and if we can’t receive grace we can’t be saved or overcome the enemy or walk in God’s miracle working power.
“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:” – 2 Thessalonians 2:7-13
So what is this great lie that so many have on wittingly fallen for that has made them so susceptible to the enemies cons? The lie that you don’t have to know, believe, and obey the Word of God. You might say, “I do believe the Bible” but do you believe all of it? Ideas like evolution, Jesus isn’t the only way to God, God’s gifts have ceased to be given, homosexuality and other clearly listed sins are ok, you can continue in sin and still be saved, you can love the things of the world and God too, pride, self esteem, and so many other lies that directly contradict the word of God are being allowed uncorrected, encouraged, and even taught in many churches and Christian circles today. The will and work of God will never contradict the Word of God, for God is the word and the Word is God. You must know one to know the other and you must believe one to believe the other.
Scripture also clearly tells us that God sends miracles to validate the message of Jesus Christ (Acts 8:5-6). When you get the message right, true miracles will follow to validate it. This is why Mark 16:17 tells us that signs, wonders, and miracles will “follow those that believe“. The miracles are not following those that believe in the miracles, it’s following those that believe God and His Word because if you truly believe His Word you will spread it and the miracles will follow to validate it. However, scripture also tells us that Satan comes as an angel of light, preforming miracles and “lying” wonders also. Those that seek manifestations only (and not scriptural truth and the baring of good fruits that line up with the word of God) for validation of the divine will be deceived by these delusions, believe the lies, and follow the spirit of anti-Christ and Satan himself. All while thinking they do God service because they have not truly known God, because they do not know His word. However, those that stand on the truth of God’s Holy Word will not be so easily deceived and will walk humbly in love and power. For love is not about putting on a show, reveling in sin, and is not puffed up, but rather love bares truth unto repentance and power unto salvation.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” – John 1:1-5
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” – John 1:12-17
“Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.” – 2 John 1:3-4
