“And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.” – Malachi 2:2-4
These are very harsh words, not at all the kinds of words that we are accustomed to attributing to our modern concepts of God, yet they were His Words non the less. What could have offended, frustrated, and infuriated the living God so greatly that would drive Him to such harsh open rebukes and warnings? The answer is found at the end of this selfsame chapter when we read:
“Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?” – Malachi 2:17
The church in general and as a whole today has broken the first and second commandments. 1. Thou shalt have no other God before Me. 2. Thou shalt not fashion for thyself a graven image (or God of your own making) and worship it. Many professing to be Christians, ministers, and even whole church groups and denominations have done exactly this. They made a god of their own liking and have put it before the true God, the God of the Word, whom is the Word, the God of the Bible. They fashion a god for themselves of compromising love without judgment, correction, or rebuke. A god who tolerates sin at best and encourages and justifies it at worse. One that loves the world and embraces the things of it though the Word says that to love the world makes us the enemy of God. A god that stands in direct opposition to the Word and Will of God, (which is God), yet still claims to be god. A god that says that good is evil and evil is good. For this, through continual compromise, the love of the world, money, attention, and sin, and the desire to please men more then God, they have perverted and inverted the Word of God so severely that many who think they serve God today are actually servants of Satan and know not the difference.
“They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.” – John 16:2-3
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness,” – Jude 1:3-4
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” – Isaiah 5:20
God is not playing with those who bring shame on His name by calling themselves His ministers or His people while ministering the will of Satan instead. The first chapter of the book of John tells us that God is the Word and the Word is God, and that Jesus was the Word made flesh. Therefor to reject any part of the Word of God is rejecting God. To refuse to submit to or believe any part of His Word is to refuse to submit to and believe Him, know that humble submission and belief is required for salvation. Hell opens it’s mouth wide for those who refuse His Word and even wider for those who pervert and invert it. Yes He is a God of love, but He is also a God of justice, righteousness, holiness, and truth. Know that true love and justice also encompasses wrath and judgment, ask any truly loving parent. So to those who call themselves by His name claiming to be His people or ministers, be warned to learn His true and full word and at all cost minister the Full Council of God, the love and the judgment, the encouragement and the rebuke, the council and the correction, righteousness and sin, worship and reverence, adoration and fear, heaven’s blessing and hell’s fire. The great David Wilkerson wisely stated once that, “God is both our greatest hope and our greatest terror.” This is why the fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom. So again, I warn you, minister the full council of God or I promise you will experience it on the day of judgment, for the blood of every soul you led astray and every soul you had opportunity to rectify to God through truth but didn’t will be on your hands before The Lord as depicted in Ezekiel 3.
“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” – Hebrews 10:31
“Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat. Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope: That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it! Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore is the anger of the Lord kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.” – Isaiah 5:13-25
“As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia. Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth. But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”- 2 Corinthians 11:10-15
“Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.” – Acts 20:26-27
