God Does Not Hear The Prayers Of A Sinner

GUWG-Dirty-Prayer-Hands“Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.” – John 9:31

“The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.” – Proverbs 15:29

“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.” – Proverbs 28:9

“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:” – Psalms 66:18

Well it’s pretty clear when we read these verses that if we are living in sin God does not hear our prayers. It clearly states that God will have no part in sin and if sin is a part of our life, he will not hear us. He even hides his face from us.

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” – Isaiah 59:1-2

Wow, when we are living a sinful life God truly wants no part of it, and if he is not hearing our prayers because of sin we will not enter the kingdom of heaven either.

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” – Galatians 5:19-21

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” – 1 John 2:15-17

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” – 1 John 3:8-10

We see in these verses that when we are living a sinful life we cannot inherit the kingdom of God. When living in sin we or separated from our loving father, but it doesn’t have to be that way. God sent his son Jesus to take away our sins. God is faithful and just, if we are truly sorry for our sins we must repent (which means to turn away) and ask God into our heart. Then He will hear our prayers, however, we must continue to live a holy and righteous life.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” – 2 Corinthians 5:21

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” – John 8:44

We can change, not on our own, but through Jesus Christ we can become a new being, a new creature, a new creation in Christ. When we give our life, and I mean truly surrender all to Jesus, He cleanses us from all unrighteousness and we become children of the living God and or no longer children of the devil. We all have a spiritual father, it’s either God or the devil, but we also have a choice of who our father can be. We can choose God who gives us eternal life, or the devil who brings death and go to hell for all eternity. It’s our choice. I choose life. Who will you choose? Where will you go for all eternity?

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” – John 8:44

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” – Galatians 5:22-25

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14

“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:6-9

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” – Romans 10:9-10
